Chriswell, the largest home improvement company in the U.S., is getting ready to open up a new headquarters.
The company has just opened a $150 million office on the outskirts of New York City, which it says will help the company expand its U.K. operations, which have already expanded into the U, Canada and Mexico.
Chriswell also announced a partnership with the American Institute of Architects to build the new headquarters in the heart of Manhattan.
The new building will be a 21-story, 2,200-square-foot office tower with a roof deck that includes a 100-foot-tall tower with views of the city’s skyline.
The building will feature an open floor plan, a mix of open floor plans with a facade, and a glass-walled lobby, according to a news release from the company.
The office will also feature a private, secure, outdoor swimming pool with a fitness center.
The news release said that the new office will be located on the site of the former Chriswell building, which was converted into the company’s headquarters in 2003.
The U.C. Berkeley graduate was born in London and raised in the United Kingdom.
The New York Times reported in December that the company had planned to expand its offices in New York but that it had been forced to cancel the plans due to the economic recession.
It is unclear what the new company will be called, but a spokesman for Chriswell told Business Insider that it would be named “Chriswell Home Improvement.”
Chriswell is not the only company to open a new office in the New York area.
Other U.N. agencies and nonprofits are opening new offices in the city.
The Associated Press previously reported that a new U.A.E. office in Manhattan would open this year.
