Not About The Buildings

Not About The Buildings is all about libraries and literary awareness. That's why we do our best to provide you with great literary events.

Next week, we'll be announcing the winner of our first-ever Fiction Prize. The winning short story will be made into a limited-edition hand-letterpress chapbook and sold for the holidays. It will make the perfect gift for your literary-minded loved ones or, it should be noted, for yourself. You can buy it in Providence at Craftland and What Cheer Antiques, and if you're out of town, you'll be able to buy it through this website.

In case you're new to Not About The Buildings, you may wonder what else we do. Well, we give you book recommendations and host fun literary events like Spelling Bees and marathon readings. In 2007, we also put on a big art event with a gallery show and sixteen nights of events, including readings, live music, movie nights, and book clubs. To learn more about that, click here.
